The Krulig peel is a wonderful peel that helps with acne scars, open pores, pigmentation and to clarify your skin.

Dr Eduardo Krulig a plastic surgeon from Venezuela, developed the Krulig peel between 1994 and 1995, as a firs peeling treatment in a cream, for renewing the skin. He claims that it is the only peeling program that acts by 'drying' the surface layers of the skin.

The Krulig peel is a treatment designed to renew the skin, in a short period of time, by means of a keratolytic and abrasive effect, thanks to the active principles that constitute its formula. This is a peel with a rejuvenation effect which has no undesired effects. It enables medium depth peeling to be carried out with a controlled application, being able to choose to increase the depth depending on the number of applications, up to deep peel level. The exposure time of the skin in contact with the product is between 3-4 hours which can vary depending on the needs of each case, and the patient's response. The treatment does not require special conditions such as anaesthesia and Krulig claims that there is no risk of hyperpigmentation.

The most frequent areas to be treated with Krulig peel are:

The skin must be prepared starting 4-6 weeks prior to the peel. You will be guided by our staff as to what environ skin care products are necessary to use before your peel. Preparing the skin with vitamin enriched environ products will enhance the peeling process, and the ultimate result.

You will be provided with a post peel product and information kit on the day of your peel, guiding you through the recovery process and supplying you with products to use that will assist with the peeling process. The products include a cleanser, moisturiser, soothing water spray and sun block. These soothe the skin, and keep it moist, facilitating the healing process. It can take up to 2 weeks for the skin to fully heal. And the skin can improve for several months after the peel.

Whilst some clinicians believe that laser skin resurfacing is the gold standard for the skin rejuvenation, this type pf treatment is expensive, and many patients have a prolonged recovery process. Dr Simon Rosenbaum, Australia's foremost expert with the Krulig peel, believes that this peel has the potential to give about 70% of the result of laser resurfacing, at about one quarter of the cost, with a much faster, safer, and more predictable recovery.

There are very few people that fail to improve significantly after this treatment, but as we all are individuals, the end result may vary. Where necessary, the treatment can be repeated to further the result.
